Dear esteemed partners
It is with our great pleasure to announce UNAIR first online community outreach, the ASEA-UNINET International Community Outreach Program: Stunting Prevention Acceleration, which will be held from 24 August to 4 September 2020 online. Hence, we would like to invite you and your distinguished academic staff to apply for this community outreach program. You will get the chance to represent your esteemed institution in this summer course!
Focusing on “STUNTING PREVENTION ACCELERATION”, the upcoming program will bring together 30 students and 10 academic staff from all over the world, this time with a particular aim on how to reduce neonatal mortality of live birth.
Adopted from Goal 1.3 and 3.2 of Sustainable Development Goals, participants are expected to explore the background of the stunting problem in Surabaya and Semarang. Participants will have to undergo a working session with various community representatives in Surabaya as well as attending a series of webinars arranged by Universitas Airlangga and Diponegoro University via an online platform. The participants are not only expected to gain experience on a diverse range of knowledge but also to bridge and optimize the role of academia in stunting prevention. Interaction with the relevant communities and the assembly of experts on these fields are expected to prompt the emergence of new ideas and collaborations that can support and accelerate the effort to achieve said SDGs.
