169 countries are exempted from visa for a visit to Indonesia
169 Countries are exempted from the obligation to have a visa for the purpose of the visit to Indonesia. This is pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 21 of 2016 signed by President Joko Widodo last March 02. Previously, the visa exemption granted to 45 state visit by the Presidential Decree Number 69 Year 2015 since 10 June 2015. 100 days later, on 18 September 2015, Presidential Decree No. 104 issued in 2015. The number of countries that receive visa-free visits to Indonesia increased to 90 countries.
Presidential Decree No. 21 of 2016 mandates that the Receiver of Free Visit Visa granted a residence permit visits for 30 days and the period of validity cannot be extended or converted into any other residence permit.
Free Visa Visits receiver can exit and enter through 124 Immigration Check by land, sea and air.
Receiver of Free Visit Visa can perform activities for the purpose of travel, family visits, social, arts and culture, administration tasks, giving lectures or seminars, attending international exhibition, attending a meeting held with headquarters or branches in Indonesia, and to continue trips abroad.
This facility is expected to provide more benefits in improving the economy in general and an increase in the number of tourist arrivals.
